Antique Victorian Silk Slipper Shoe Thimble Holder Beaded Sewing Etui A charming late Victorian miniature slipper-shaped thimble holder, covered in patterned black silk with tiny red, blue and gold floral details. The raised toe section is finished with a decorative bow made from clear glass beads, while the elongated sole opens to reveal the thimble compartment. These novelty sewing accessories were both practical and decorative and would have formed part of a lady’s sewing box. A particularly appealing example for a collector of antique sewing accessories, miniature shoes or Victorian haberdashery. No thimble is included. ConditionIn worn antique condition, with rubbing, fraying and small areas of loss to the silk covering, particularly around the edges and toe. There is also age-related wear and discolouration to the interior and underside. The glass-beaded bow remains attached, although its arrangement may have loosened or changed with age.
