Antique Wet Brush Box Wooden Trade Display Barber Shoe Shine Original early 20th century wooden “Wet Brush” box with hand-painted gilt lettering and black shadow detail to the front. These practical trade boxes were used in barbershops and shoe shine stands for storing damp brushes, and this example has a strong utilitarian form with a rich aged patina. The hinged lid opens to a clean interior, and the long rectangular shape is ideal for brushes, tools, or display. A highly decorative and increasingly sought-after piece of trade advertising, perfect for barbershop interiors, boot room styling, bathrooms, or prop use. The typography and worn surface give excellent character and authenticity. ConditionGood antique condition with age-related wear. Surface marks, scuffs and areas of paint wear to the lettering and lid consistent with working use. Wear to edges and corners. Hinges original and working.
