Antique Treen Wooden Butter Stamp Cow Bull Design Dairy Mould A charming small antique wooden butter stamp, carved with a cow or bull type animal design to the circular face, with foliage detail and a carved border around the edge. The stamp has a simple turned wooden handle and a lovely dark aged patina from use. It would originally have been used to impress a decorative design into butter, making the cow or dairy animal motif particularly fitting. Today it makes a wonderful piece of country kitchenalia, dairy-related treen or folk art display. The animal design gives this one especially good character and collector appeal, ideal for a farmhouse kitchen, dresser, pantry display, treen collection or rustic interior. ConditionGood antique used condition with age-related wear, darkening, surface marks and signs of use throughout. The carved face has wear and some loss of definition in places, but the cow/bull design is still clearly visible and very decorative. There are knocks and marks to the handle and edges, consistent with age and use. Displays well. DimensionsH: 6.5 cm x D: 4 cm EraLate 19th to early 20th century, likely c.1880–1920.
