Antique OXO Advertising Barometer – Wooden Jar Form, c.1920s An original OXO advertising barometer, dating from the 1920s–1930s, cleverly shaped in the form of an OXO jar. This rare piece combines early 20th-century marketing with function, featuring a barometer dial marked “OXO – For All Weathers”. The wooden case retains its original painted decoration in bold red and gold tones with the OXO logo prominently displayed. A brass presentation plate sits above the dial. The barometer is aneroid and marked “Made in England”. The reverse shows the original mounting bracket for wall display. Signs of age and use are present, including wear to the wood and face, consistent with its age and originality, adding to its authentic patina. Advertising barometers of this type are increasingly sought after, particularly by collectors of enamel signs, kitchenalia, and vintage brand memorabilia. A fantastic survivor of early OXO marketing. ConditionAge-related wear, surface marks, and patina to wood and dial. Untested for accuracy.
